Active Dartmoor is owned and published by a small dedicated team, Jenny How, Simon Lloyd and David Guiterman. Produced in collaboration with Dartmoor National Park Authority the magazine is distributed once a year to coincide with the start of the holiday season to around 80 outlets including the Park’s Visitor Centres.
Designer and Art Director Simon is an award winning Graphic Designer, designing not just the magazine and most of the artwork for the advertisements, but also websites and promotional material such as leaflets, banners and promotional material for many of our clients. With a background of working with London based blue chip clients as well as several National Trust properties in the South West, it is Simon’s flair and imagination that gives Active Dartmoor (and Visit Dartmoor) it's unique and hugely popular quality.
Editor Jenny is responsible for the content of the magazine and the website, and also takes care of our very busy social media accounts. With a deep passion for Dartmoor since childhood, Jen lives on the open moor and takes a keen interest in everything that happens on Dartmoor. As a member of the Moor Than Meets The Eye Landscape Partnership and the Burrator Advisory Board, she’s happy to get involved with Dartmoor organisations when the opportunity to promote the moor arises.
Roving Reporter and Proof Reader David is an enthusiastic participant in any activity we suggest to him! Throwing himself wholeheartedly into everything from the Lustleigh Run to caving, climbing, and navigation and photography courses! Creating Walk and Eat features, doing interviews and taking photographs, David is responsible for many of the articles we put in front of you!
